2014 Fort Davis Ride, March 13 to 17

Plans are to arrive in Ft Davis on Friday March 14th and depart Ft Davis on Monday March 17th. We have rooms reserved at the Hotel Limpia for Friday night thru Sunday night. Some people will opt to leave on Thursday March 13th and drive to Brady and spend the night and then finish driving to Ft Davis on Friday. For those that want to do that we have a block of rooms reserved at the Best Western Hotel in Brady under the Lone Star Riders name for Thurs night.

Others may want to drive straight thru on Friday arriving at Ft Davis on Friday evening. (It is a little over 500 miles to Ft Davis from Dallas). Either way the plan is to meet in Ft Davis at the Hotel Limpia Friday evening.

Once we arrive in Ft Davis we do not have any scheduled rides or other activities planned for Sat or Sun other than a possible group dinner at the Hotel either Sat or Sun night. With regards to the dinner nothing is setup or planned yet as I need to get a good count of how many people we may have before I contact the restaurant.

Everyone is free on Sat and Sunday to hook up with other people and ride, shop, take in the sights, sleep in, or just relax. I am sure we will have a group heading down to Big Bend on Sat or Sunday that you can join in on if you would like and I think the women may elect to do some shopping. There is plenty to see around the Ft Davis area if you want to sight-see. (The Fort itself, State Park, McDonald Observatory, possible day trip to Alpine, etc).

By doing the ride this way we can ride out and back together, use Ft Davis as a base, see the area, and everyone can customize the trip to make the most out of whatever it is they like to do.

The main thing that needs to be done ASAP is for everyone who is planning on the Fort Davis Ride needs to make their reservations at The Hotel Limpia. David has reserved several room in his name arriving Friday night 14th and departing Monday the 17th (3 nights). So when you call mention Lone Star Riders and David Adams.
